REGISTRATIONS

• early registration - January 15 - May 31, 2018
• late registration - June 1 - August 31, 2018
• onsite registration - September 4-8, 2018

 

REGISTRATION FEES  (in Euro, including 22% italian VAT)

• attendance of the all scientific sessions;
• congress kit;
• coffee breaks and working lunches scheduled in the scientific program;
• welcome reception
  

By registering you fully accept all registration’s conditions as further detailed:

• All registration fees are quoted in Euro (€) and include 22% Italian VAT. Payment in any other currency will not be accepted.
• Invoices with an address in the European Union should be provided with a VAT Number. The invoicing address and VAT number and/or fiscal code can only be set up during the registration process.
• Registration fees are based on the date of receipt of the registration request. The prices indicated are only applicable if BOTH the registration request AND payment are received before midnight, Central European Time (GMT +1), on the relevant registration deadline date, otherwise, the higher registration fee will be applied.
  Registrations will be acknowledged by email upon receipt of payment and a valid personal email address. Incomplete addresses or agency addresses will not be accepted and will result in the cancellation of the registration.
• Presenting Authors of symposia and posters should be registered at the Congress within June 1st, 2018!

Developing Country Reduced Registration Application

The IOP is pleased to offer current members working and residing in low-income countries according to the World Bank ranking the opportunity to apply for reduced registration rates (see list) for the World Congress. When completing the registration form, please select your registration fee and insert your discount rate in the 'Remarks' field. Discounts do not apply to the social dinner.

Payment terms and conditions

You will be free to pay by credit card online. Please go ahead with the registration submission; you will receive the link for payment in the confirmation email upon your registration.

Alternatively, payment by bank transfer are accepted up to the late fee deadline of 31st August, 2018.F rom September 1st on, only cash payment in Euros will be accepted on-site in Lucca (4-8 September 2018)

Any cancellation or alteration of your registration must be notified in writing and will be subject to the following conditions:

Cancellation
Until 31 July 2018: refund of fee minus 40% administrative charge.
From 1 August 2018: no refund.
Please note that any refund will be processed after the 19th IOP Congress.

Miscellaneous
Should a delegate not attend the Congress, for whatever reason, no further claims for reimbursement or waiving of fees can be made.

Modification of the program
The IOP Society  reserves the right to modify the Congress programme at any time, which is published as an indication only and subject to change.

Social Program

Opening Ceremony and Welcome Cocktail  - Tuesday, September 4th 2018 

The Opening Ceremony will be followed by a welcome cocktail that will be held on  the prestigious Casermetta del Baluardo di San Pietro on the City Wall, located at walking distance from the congress venue. Crossbow archers and Flag-wavers, musicians, armored and duellists, and Renaissance dances will be presented.

This event will be open to all delegates and registered accompanying persons having indicated their willingness to attend the welcome cocktail during registration. Cost is included in the registration fee.

Social Dinner – Thursday,  September 6th 2018 

Social dinner will be hosted in Lucca at Palazzo Pfanner at 8 pm.

Tickets are limited up to 120 participants and will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis. No dress code required.

The attendance at the Social dinner can be reserved during the registration procedure, and will be confirmed only upon payment. The cost per person is of Euro 50 VAT included.

Liability Disclaimer
No right to further claims or waiving of fees will be possible should the IOP be obliged to alter the programme of the Congress.

In the event of serious special or unforeseen circumstances or serious circumstances beyond its control, the IOP shall be entitled to cancel or modify the dates of the event. Delegates shall not be entitled to compensation for any costs or damages incurred as a consequence of such a cancellation or change.

All delegates are urged to take personal travel insurance.
The IOP will not be liable for any theft or damage to property and/or persons caused on site during the Congress, by any factor whatsoever, unless there has been a fault, intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of IOP
